Thousands of Villa Montellano Families Set to Receive Property Titles as Punta Bergant\u00edn Development Moves Forward<\/b><\/h2>\n

VILLA MONTELLANO, Puerto Plata<\/b> \u2013 More than 3,000 families in the municipality of Villa Montellano are moving closer to receiving formal titles to properties they have occupied for many years, as the Technical Execution Unit of State Land Title (UTECT) advances its National Titling Plan in Puerto Plata Province.<\/p>\n

The current operation involves the signing of donation and transfer documents, an important legal step before definitive property title certificates can be issued to beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

For families who have lived on state-owned land for decades without formal documentation, the process represents much more than paperwork. A legal title provides greater security of ownership, strengthens family assets, and can increase the value and economic potential of their property.<\/p>\n

More Than 3,000 Families in Montellano<\/b><\/h2>\n

During a supervisory visit to the different titling operations taking place throughout Puerto Plata Province, UTECT Executive Director Duarte M\u00e9ndez Pe\u00f1a highlighted the progress being made in Villa Montellano and the strong participation of local residents.<\/p>\n

UTECT legal teams are carrying out the signing operation at the Madre Teresa de Calcutta Educational Center, where beneficiaries are completing the necessary documentation before receiving their definitive property titles.<\/p>\n

M\u00e9ndez Pe\u00f1a explained that the current operation is expected to benefit more than 3,000 families in the municipality.<\/p>\n

“We are working so that more and more families of Puerto Plata can receive legal certainty, which is a title deed.”<\/p>\n

The official also pointed to the recent completion of a social census operation in the San Marcos sector, where 3,578 results were obtained, as part of the wider titling programme being carried out in the province.<\/p>\n

The UTECT is currently developing titling projects not only in Villa Montellano but also in San Marcos, El Javillar, Vista Bella, Cerro Isabela, and Belloso<\/b>. Across these projects, the Government expects to deliver more than 6,000 property titles<\/b> in Puerto Plata Province.<\/p>\n
